Holy Shrine Educatives is a Skill Development initiative of the Holy Shrine School Divine Society which has been in the field of education for the past 30 years.

The NEP envisages Skill Development as a major aspirational goal from class 6 onwards.
With our vast experience and repertoire in education of children, we have realised the lacunae existing in pedagogy between experiential, hands on learning and the actual classroom environment.
Towards this end, we have created a Skill Development DIY Kit for schoolchildren wherein we use Activity Based Teaching Learning Pedagogy ( ABTL) to bridge gaps between conventional and vocational training .
The copyrighted kit that we have developed is called Hocus Pocus^© to conjure up some images of fun . It consists of flower powder remix, bamboo sticks, sandalwood powder , worksheets and an instructions manual on how to make incense from recycled flowers.

Today you ask yourself, “ Why should I learn how to make incense? Is it even a skill worthy enough to be acquired? Why should I know about the Incense Industry?

Not everyone is blessed with the STEM way of perception. We have amidst us the artists, the creative students, the musicians, the dancers, the debators, and so on ! This is for students with an ARTISTIC & CREATIVE bent of mind.

Keeping all these goals in mind, a DIY incense making Kit along with textbooks for different levels have been designed.

Here children learn to make pure organic incense from recycled flowers. This creates a WIN -WIN situation wherein children not only learn a life skill, they learn team work, dignity of labour and inclusion along with waste management. They learn how to be saviours of the environment.

The worksheets are designed to enhance curiosity amidst the children on environmental issues, sustainability and promoting a green footprint.
