The Sustainable Development Goals are the cherished vision for the progress of mankind. India is rightly a partner to this global endeavor created by the United Nations.
Our Skill Development module is closely aligned to 9 out of 17 goals.

1. Recycling and promotion of a green footprint.
2. Learning to work in a team.
3. Promoting fine and gross motor control in students
4. Learning about dignity of labour
5. Learning about inclusivity.
6. The repetitive movements of Incence making induce a sense of calm and are therapeutic even for specially abled persons
7. Absolutely safe, non toxic and natural.
8.Teaching a commercial life skill.
9.The module fits easily into classroom teaching timetables.
10. It is project based learning not only providing livelihood skills but also promoting recycling and environmental consciousness- a win – win combination.

In Lucknow, India, we collect flowers which are offered in temples (flower litters) which otherwise would end in garbage dumps or the Gomti river. Then these flowers are dried and recycled to make flower powder. This powder is used for-1) Skill development

2) Incense making

3) Sepals obtained from flowers are used for composting to create organic fertilisers.

Thus we prevent pollution on land and rivers, promote recycling, promote skill development in students, provide employment to rural women and we also promote inclusion as this skill development module is vastly suitable for specially abled persons or the PwD.

Hence, this module creates a win – win situation for all.
